What do you say about a couple like Merry+Nick? What makes them such an incredible couple not only to work with, but more importantly… to know? As you’ll see below, they are an incredibly attractive couple. But… that’s not it. And it’s not their extremely joyous personalities, although I’d definitely put it on the list.
No… It’s something more. Merry and Nick are great because… because they are two people who care deeply. How do I know this? Well, let me put this into perspective. Everyone knows that choosing the men and women who stand with you as your bridal party is a big deal. After all, these are the people who have impacted you the most. People who were there for those moments in life that mattered. Well, seeing that Merry had eleven bridesmaids. No surprise there! A girl as perky and fun as Merry is bound to surround herself with some amazingly joyful women. Thus, Nick had to choose at least eleven guys to stand next to him at the wedding, a feat many men would find daunting. Not Nick though… knowing he could only have eleven guys standing up there with him on his wedding day, he chose seventeen men. Seventeen guys he’d grown to love as brothers. As anyone who’s been part of a wedding knows, you simply cannot have seventeen groomsmen and only eleven bridesmaids. So, what did he do? He invited twelve to stand with him on stage, and asked the remaining seven to attend as ushers. A noble gesture, but being the amazingly great guy he is, this was not enough for Nick. Despite that those remaining seven were not technically “groomsmen,” Nick boldly asked me if all nineteen of his men could stand next to him during the morning photos. Nineteen guys that he cared enough about to ask them to be there to take pictures with. Nick is a goofy guy who loves his brothers, and loves his bride.
But it goes even further. How do I know that these two care? Because when I met them at Merry’s home months and months ago to do their engagement session, these two were kind enough to bring me a gift: a single carton of eggnog. To most people this would seem simply a festive gesture. It was the holidays after all. Not to me though. These two cared enough to learn something about me and prepare a gift that was fit just for me. Something that truly meant the world.
Merry+Nick are an incredibly beautiful couple, and although the uncharacteristic October heat tried its very best to sway the day away from joy, these two shined throughout the whole thing. From the tears shed when Nick first saw Merry’s face to the laughs shared as they crowd-surfed their way through the reception, this wedding was nothing less than a magical experience to behold.
Tori Brinson Designs did an incredible job on these bouquets.
And then the hallelujah hands!
You know a man in love when you find one who tears up even before he see the bride.
Once again. Do you see those flowers!?!?
Thank you so very much to my second photographer Sarah Moore for catching all those little moments I wasn’t nearby to capture.
Okay… I admit it… I ate 3…
I’ve never seen so many guests in the air! I give full credit to the incredible Music Garden Bands!
You know you’re a great band when after only three hours you make fan girls of the bridesmaids.
