WELCOME TO THE BLOG!

DANIEL & ANNABEL

Hello, we're

Before I get hired for a wedding, I always spend at least an hour just getting to know my couples. There’s one question I have recently asked every time: “What flavor would you say best describes your relationship?” Elizabeth and Matthew’s response: Asian Zing. To those who don’t know, this is a staple Buffalo Wild Wings flavor packing a large amount of sweet with a little bit of a kick in the background, and after running around Auburn Alabama’s Kiesel Park with these two, I feel that it really does expertly personify the love they share. They are definitely a mixture of calm, savory-sweet mixed with a little bit of “zing.”

When I think about Katherine and Ethan, my first thought is the word genuine. They are a pair of completely confident people who love and compliment each other so incredibly well. All throughout our sunrise at Bridgestreet in Huntsville, they unashamedly laughed together, and there was a lot for them to laugh about (Hopefully you can’t tell from the pictures, but Ethan DEFINITELY had a giant white spot on his jacket from a previously worn boutonniere.). Each truly believes that the other has their absolute best interest at heart, and based on that, they feel completely comfortable letting their true selves shine through. It was inspiring to watch, and I am overwhelmingly proud to call them a djscouple. As they continue to prep for their wedding, I pray most of all that they will never lose sight of the passion for each other and for the Lord that I so appreciatively got to witness. They’re a blessing to the world, and if they continue this path they are on, they are going to have an amazing marriage.

As Abbie walked down the aisle, she couldn’t help but laugh. A clear, jubilant tone. Wearing her grandmother’s opal ring she’d be promised all those years ago, Abbie was finally becoming Mrs. Montgomery, and I’m still brought to tears just thinking about it. I will never forget Abbie and Andrew. From the way they so casually snuggled when I first Skyped with them just seven months ago, to Abbie’s unendingly infectious laugh, I have admired everything about these two from the moment I met them. They are special, a rare blend unending maturity and joy. They contain such an inspiring, extreme devotion to one another, and when you’ve got two people like that, individuals that strive towards each other’s benefit, you can’t help but walk away changed. They love God, and the awesome ways they chose to intertwine him into their day were simply beautiful. In fact, above all else, I think this one feature alone is what drew me to them so strongly.

Sometimes in life you meet those people that are just downright phenomenal! Stunning individuals both photographically and personally. A great mixture of extroversion and wisdom all rolled into one. You don’t meet many of those people, but last week I got to work with one.

They were joyful even when we’d been capturing them for over an hour. When Abbie nestled into Andrew’s arms, there was a tangible peace there. They were patient with each other when they disagreed over something trivial. They were…
