Where do I even begin with these two? After all, we’ve been friends for so long! It all began with an afternoon soon after they had started dating. I needed couples to model for me and so we spent an afternoon cuddling our way around Opelika, AL. We got some good shots, too! I thanked them for their time, left, and had no idea just how impactful that day would be. Ever since that day, all throughout this journey of a business, these two have been there. Nearly every post, every image, and everything I have done has inevitably received an ecstatic comment from Victoria exclaiming her excitement at my newest venture. It’s as if I truly was not capable of peaking! But that’s just who she is. Then you take that excitement for life and combine it with a guy like Cody and you get a pair ready to handle just about anything! Where Victoria is unstoppably joyful, Cody is the calm, laughing rock that grounds her back to Earth. What to compare them to…? They’re like warm fires and gooey chocolate chip cookies. Or winter sunsets and cuddly blankets. They’re like… Christ and the church. They are Understanding. Patient. Passionate. Unyieldingly devoted. United. Victoria and Cody are a great example of what it looks like to really love someone for who they truly are. And I have loved every moment I’ve gotten to spend watching it.
Of course, you’d expect a wedding between two people like this to be wonderful, and it certainly was. In terms of key moments, Cody nearly burst with excitement over seeing Victoria during the first look! And then there was the ceremony, where the officiant had Victoria and Cody hold each others’ hands while he delivered a magnificent oration describing their future together. “Remember, these are the hands that will hold you when you are sick, for they will nurse you and help you remember what it’s like to be cared for…” It was beautiful and impacted me just as much as it probably did them. And then how could I not mention the barbecue food truck!? It was purely wonderful. From the first hug I received from Victoria till the moment I bid them farewell, it was a wedding to be remembered for the ages.
